A two cour [or OVAs of similar length] adaptation of the Shimabara Rebellion. The first cour would be from the perspective of Amakusa Shirou's father showing him raising his son, encountering his "miracles" and having to hide his faith and proselytize in secret while making heavy use of flashbacks or non-linear narrative to show his own experience growing up in Japan when popular opinion on Christianity fluctuated heavily depending on who was in power. Perhaps it would explore why the majority of Japanese cared so little for it and tie it to why the religion is still an extreme minority today similar to how Silence did. The second cour would consist of the uprising itself and at least half of it would be given to the long final siege at Hara Castle with a heavy tone of despair contrasting those who held fast with a focus on Shirou himself showing his own reflections as a messiah boy on the situation to compare to his father's from the first half. Of course, it'd be very depressing with food slowly running out, talk of inside betrayal, desperate and failed attempts to fight back, and the final assault by the Shogunate.
