If I'm not mistaken, this is the only kiloton-level explosion ever widely recorded in a major metropolitan city (Tianjin wasn't even close to kiloton)
Halifax and the nuclear bombings came way before video cameras were widespread, and most other kiloton-level explosions were either tests or chemical accidents in some relatively remote locations (like Pepcon)
This is the closest we've ever had (and hopefully ever will have) to seeing a nuclear explosion in a major city
