First you've established the concept of "Sin".
Thereafter the concept of "Repentance" is established,
Therafter the concept "Only through me"
And hey presto you've got a nice hierarchy in place to have the dumb sheep, that believe in all that, do anything you want, including things which any sane person would classify as objectively horrible evil, like the burning of unbelievers and holy crusades.
Also to forbid "lusting" after anything is clearly establishing a thoughtcrime. I'm telling you to be free to castigate yourself as much as you feel the need to. But you need to stop telling me what I am allowed to think!
