The feeling of a bunch of young people discovering the online world (much more separate back then) for the first time, and just creating things and joking around. Very few people were waging a war for some ideology or another, they were just there to have fun or talk about stuff they liked. I miss it, much better vibes back then. We can never go back though.
The "old internet" culture lasted through the 2000s. Things still felt more or less the same until around 2011 and it kept declining after that.
