In any case I don't believe anything nefarious happened - it was a perfect storm of events that resulted in the sinking. No binoculars, no wind that night, speed of the ship, the captain of the Californian being lazy, their wireless operator being off duty when the Titanic CQDs were coming in, the fact they turned to starboard, ship design, and of course the lack of life boats. If any of these things changed we may not really know that much about Titanic. The iceberg that sank it had broken off from the west coast of Greenland about 3 years prior to the event so maybe it was a Final Destination thing. It wasn't sunk on purpose but lots of things resulted from it.
