His wife got a good job with the state, then got pregnant, left on maternity leave and quit. Now they are renting a house, not owning, and have two kids on one income which isn't that great. She does not read to them and gives them her phone when she wants to keep them occupied. Meanwhile my brother works all day and comes home tired to home-cooked junk food, making him fat as well.
She has no plans to get another job although when they were engaged she claimed it was a priority. I suspect she is trying to work her way into my parents' will through my brother and jump on their shit like a vulture. Also she was thin before the marriage, after the pregnancy she ballooned up and is now mammy status. Part of me hopes she divorces him before my parents go because I am almost certain she will push for them to be put into nursing homes and then cannibalize their house and everything they worked for.
I have no one to talk to about it except my parents and can't say too much because they are boomer blinded. Sorry for blog, have to let it out somewhere.
