>>14031984>Then kysI've literally never heard of someone convert from being an atheist to being religious that wasn't just a teen rebellion phase after they started out in a religious family. I call people out on this and they're never willing to bring their parents or anyone else into the conversation.
>>14031989The point is that if the Earth is flat and the sun, moon and stars are all objects within a dome-shaped firmament above the Earth, the entire universe is now essentially within a sphere not much larger than the globe model. Rather than the Earth being a single small planet in a universe that's countless billions of lightyears in size, the entire universe has basically just been shrunken to fit into the Earth with stars being tiny bits of glitter. What's outside the dome? Nothing. The Earth is now essentially the entire universe. The globe model has a logical cause and effect with gravity being objects attracting each other with a force proportional to their distance and mass. With the flat Earth model down is simply that direction just because god made it that way and there's no logical reason you can attribute to it.
You can't have a conversation about flat Earth without religion getting injected into it, because it's a purely irrational, religious construct.
