>>19369236>Its all power controlIt is and I'm glad you realized that. You're smart and mature anon, thanks to yourself, no thanks to your mother.
>They had all fun but want their children to remain "pure and innocent" while they got to enjoy everything.Yyyuuuupppp...
My own mother is an alcoholic and wouldn't admit it for years. She went out and partied and kept lying to us saying she wasn't out at bars, but out "working" for days and never coming home...
Meanwhile my siblings and I had to babysit the younger ones and were strictly NOT allowed to go parties, especially where drinking was involved.
It took me and my siblings becoming adults, going to bars legally and finding our own mom in those bars, being caught red-handed for her to finally admit to drinking at all.
Not blog posting, just relating the same experience and example. She wanted power over us, she wanted us not to have social lives so she wouldn't have to pay for it and she'd have a baby sitter to look after the kids while SHE got to have a partying, fun bar-hopping lifestyle.
So I learned these lessons, like you, the hard way.
Never, ever trust mothers.
