Before my mom got kicked out of the house she'd ask me for a "loan" from my pocket change(christmas/birthday cards) and promised to pay it back, only to never see that money again. She'd also pawn off all my birthday and christmas presents, promising to buy them back later and that never happened. She even pocketed the money my dad gave her to buy me a go-kart($900). So I went through age 9-12 with all my toys getting sold for crack until my grandparents finally wised up and disowned her. I probably have deep seated trust issues with women as a result or some shit.
