The 70s was a very globohomo decade. All the naive idealism of the 60s resulted in a degeneration of morals resulting in a broken society. Crime and corruption were high, the wholesome family unit became a thing of evil. The movies were mostly bleak and nihilist, despite all the ultra liberal policies put in place by the flower children. It was such a shitty time when Regan was up most of the US turned Republican.
