The worst part about "white" or upper class mexicans is that they think copying american liberal thinking makes them enlightened. I saw this in college and in my first jobs. Feminism is growing stronger by the day and virtue signalling on social media is as bad if not worse than in America. I'd say we are in the same spot as the US was with Obama in 2012.
