Has anyone realized how pathetic the current state of debating and trolling has become?
I never engage in debates with random accounts on social media because I’ve come to expect that nobody can stand by or support their opinion. They just regurgitate the popular opinion and then use normie buzz words when you try to talk to them.
An account on twatter was talking about how the US rejoining the Paris climate accord is important because it prevents the planets ecological collapse. And when a bunch of people started replying with how bullshit that excuse is, he just kept saying “looks like I triggered some BOOMERS XD XD XD.”
Then I got to thinking, this is the standard response from millions of people these days. It almost seems like everything they post is just to trigger an angry response. They turn post notifications on so they can have the first reply, and it’s always something that makes people mad because it’s stupid and not factual. Why are these people so obsessed with human emotion? What benefit do they have knowing that strangers are engaging with their baloney anyways?
