>>17378582Don't really like Turkey, but Ataturk is probably the greatest leader of the last 150 years. Turkey by 1921 was (seemingly) on a one way path to becoming what Pakistan is now, only worse as it'd be carved up further by the Russians and the British/French alliance. Ataturk didn't just revitalize the government, economy, or military of the country, he completely revitalized society and actually created a future for Turkey from the ground up. The thing with a lot of great leaders, is that they often come from countries that have incredible resources available, such as Deng Xiaping. However if you rank Turkey's success position after Ataturk compared to what it had before, Turkey's success is insane.
