>>11058405As an English speaker, I read the authorized KJV exclusively.. HOWEVER I don't hold the KJV only position anymore. I believe that whatever Bible fires you up and that you enjoy on a spiritual level is the 'best' one as long as it makes you a believer on Christ. The main reason the KJV-only position exists is because a lot of modern translations change the wording and delete verses in many areas which can be misleading when you compare it to the Greek versions. In an ideal world, being able to read the Greek text is the best possible way but with English you have a lot of translations out there. Also, I think its safe to say that certain translations water things down. In some cases they don't even call Jesus by his name and replace it with things like 'him'. Its a vast and confusing subject, you have to spend the time reading about all this stuff to make up your mind and you'll get like a million opinions. As for what church, well I think its best to avoid 'rock and roll' churches and other wordly garbage. Look for the most traditional church possible in your area.
