The police and lawyers can't take here say on what you put on the notice to pay the debt. When you go to court you say it was a small personal loan between gentlemen. Anything he says in court you can dismiss as your paperwork says otherwise.

Start by giving him a formal notice to pay the debt. This will scare him into thinking you may actually sue him and he'll talk to you about paying it off. Make a PTP (promise to pay/ payment plan) with him at this point when you serve him to show good faith that you want to be reasonable. Then you can leave the courts out of it and write up a contract based on the amount owed and the payments owed for said debt and when they'll be collected. Do $40 a month over 10 month installments or $100 over 4 month installments. Either way right when you serve him paperwork he's going to want to negotiate to get it paid. That's when you can bamboozle him into the repayment contract which you can then use in court to circumvent what the original money was for.
Seriously man you're really fucking dumb for loaning him the money and even dumber for not knowing how to use the system to your advantage as a drug deelah. For real dude learn to loophole and shell game the cops and courts.
