I now see why the Orthodox church went with a statue ban but kept pictures to keep churches and houses from being cluttered with junk merchandise. Luci is fine for pamphlets and murals on impressionable children who might take pilgrimages to holy sites when they grow up. That is if they make it look fun and not just some boring church service talking about it.
