There is one God, many ways to perceive and try to understand it.I'm pretty certain that a monotheistic God with definite ties to humanity would not make it so that many religions are functionally incompatable by making two groups follow exact opposite ideals. That's just stupid and demonstrates that "God" has no ultimate grasp of human psyche.
Also, this somehow makes the "universal morality and ethics" argument even shadier
