>>21099955As the bell rings and Steeli celebrates her victory, Priscilla looks at the lantern over in the timekeeper’s area. She had one job. Beat Steeli, and save Jennifer in the process. And she had failed. Failure was still a relatively foreign concept to Priscilla, and she did not like it. Not one bit.
But a deal was a deal. Steeli would be given a percentage of The Divine Touch’s shares. Enough to be a nuisance, or to become a very wealthy woman should she choose to sell. But not enough to do too much damage.
As Priscilla gets to her feet, she spots a blonde man in the crowd, shaking his head before disappearing among the masses. Gustavo? Perhaps. Or maybe she was seeing things. A punt to the head like the one she took a few moments prior would do that.
She steps through the ropes and backs away up the ramp. This night was a poor one. But with every setback comes an opportunity to learn.
