I am always reminded of the farmer who while out in his field came upon a cow with a broken leg. So he shouldered his rifle, aimed at its skull and fired a shot. bullet richocheted, bounced and struck the farmer on his leg, in his femoral artery. before he could limp back to the farmhouse, he died of blood loss.
the point is, in any contest, even between an armed man and a cow with a broken leg, the outcome is not always certain.
