Back when I was in middle school/high school/during my first two semesters of college, I used to consider myself intelligent because I loved reading and had high grades in history/literature-related classes. but when I ended up switching onto a math-heavy STEM college major, I ended up realizing that I wasn't that good at reasoning, just at memorizing facts about stuff I liked.
