One winter during my childhood, we ran an extension cord through my bedroom window to power the outside Christmas lights, leaving a small gap. I was playing with my Legos when I saw a family of mice dive in the window and take off in all directions. The subsequent week was spent setting up traps with my father and catching 9 mice in all. We baited them with peanut butter, not the stereotypical cheese. The traps were non-lethal, but I killed the mice anyway :)
