Seth's shows have had good moments and a lot of kids love TTG (because they haven't seen what animation can be). This doesn't excuse them from prooagating the cooperate vision of an "efficient cartoon" that makes the most money at the least cost. Family Guy is big enough to spend millions (3 million I think?) per episode and the producers haven't taken it to the next level. That can't just be Hollywood fat cats holding it back, insiders in the industry are giving up too.
It really hit right in the childhood watching the Simpsons be zombified by flash animation. I can't even watch the new ones now.
