It's a major part of proper fitness in fact. But putting yourself in an altered state using physiological tricks like that and trying to leverage that to chase a false spiritual enlightenment is where the two always go.
Although now I have a question to mull over and float past my brothers: is it wrong to practice physical yoga techniques while meditating on Christ and the glory of God?
