>How did you place third in the tournament?i lost every single round i played in. it was a horrible day, my god! i'd win about 2-3/5 of my rounds in any tournament. not great but not bad. well i go to this regional chess tournament with my friend, honestly one of the smartest guys i've meet. real smart, real wiz when he puts his mind to something, ways a great day when i could be him at chess then lol. but those times are another plate of cookies for a different glass of milk. anywho so we go to this tournament and i lose first round, no big deal that's okay. loose 2nd, eh what ever that's fine. 3rd round, boom lost. alright i gotta start practicing between rounds and focusing more. 4th round, wham lost again. oh shit bro i can't lose all my rounds i've never done that. 5th round, come one baby you got this and!!!! lost. i'm so defeated after this, 5 rounds a whole day gone and not a single win or at least a tie. i feel the worst just smashed. i go to the award ceremony with everyone and sit next to friend who went 4.5/5 i think. i'm glazed and not paying attention and just sulking. but then i hear them call my name, they look around waiting for me to stand up, i turn to friend and ask if i just heard my name and his name as well. we walk up and i get a 3rd place plague, i ask him what the fuck happened. well turns out there where only 3 people from our region at this tournament. everyone else, and i swear it was like 200 people there, where not from out region. so i got third place at a tournament by being the worst at chess.
