Now, what should be the appropriate measure of physical disciplining a man should give to his woman? In modern times there's been so much criticism against what is called "abusive relationships", and such critics do have a point. In when dealing physical reprimands to his partner, the man should always have the utmost compassion and desire for the well being of her in mind. We should remember ourselves that we discipline the women we love to prevent the self destructive behaviors they are bound to indulge in lieu of their female nature.
Thus said, there are a few things a man should have into account and some boundaries he should never cross. One of these is to never harm his woman in a way that would leave permanent scars or cause irreparable damage. The objective with our practice is to use pain as a form of behavioral control, not to do any real harm.
On addition to that, being social creatures, women are by their very nature very self conscious of their image. Any form of bodily discipline should never leave bruises that would be visible when fully clothed or that can't be disguised. The most obvious example would be the face: black eyes, chipped or broken teeth, dislocated jaw which may affect her speech, and any other bruises that can't be easily covered. These are practices we absolutely do not endorse. When disciplining, one should do effectively and within reason.
