We have a legal system. We have civil protections in place for our societies. There's no need to administer emotional revenge or codes-of-honour.
The only areas where 'hard masculinity' is still prevalent are places devoid of legal justice, and overrun by Gang cultures - Brazil, Mali, Mozambique, Colombia. They have a need for overtly powerful, aggressive men, and other men have to preserve their masculinity to retain respect.
