You brought up the point of video games, and I think there are some things I should point out. SAO is a lot like call of duty, in the way that it attracts people who consume all things mainstream. But there are still things in the industry that appeal to the true core audience of the medium. People who are hardcore game enthusiasts are still called "nerds" and "lowlifes" regardless of the appeal that games have today
