I basically programmed a very simple game without real purpose. Learning by doing. I browse F-Droid, see something nice, download their code and try to reimplement the behavior (no code copying, though, since I actually want to learn something). Open Source tends to attract quite a lot of shitty programmers (guess I am one of them) and good code seems to be scarce. Then again, I am a beginner myself. I might just fail to see the genius behind it all. I might still need to find a way into how Java wants me to program.
