I’ll give you an example from work today: a customer came in with a complaint about a light staying on in his car even when the door was shut. It was latter found that the problem was a short to ground in the door-switch circuit. Electrons traveling though the circuit cannot be observed by human senses but their movement and its effect can be observed in the form of a lightbulb illuminating.
