>>10744258Dude you're overdoping hard. Stop being a slave for dopamine, quit video games, quit everything that you'd do for boredom that isn't something you'd consider productive. In a week after misery you'll find yourself with a superpower called motivation. Since you're not raping your brain with constant dopamine you'll feel the effect of achieving something real and productive. Dopamine is very dangerous because it's effectively what makes your thoughts instead of for example thought moving your hand. In just few hours of quitting you'll be thinking "oh it's okay i tried and can do it if i want, i'll just watch another movie", in a week you'll be thinking "oh it's okay i succeeded i'll just rub one fat out" and then you'll snowball into your old destructive habits. it's the reason smokers can't seem to quit if they don't focus their source of dopamine elsewhere like eating or video games. Even if i know this i'm struggling to quit. It's constant battle within yourself, going against your nature, and seems impossible, but i'm slowly getting better i think. The problem is you'll switch the source and think you're getting better even if you're not. Going to a summer cottage without phone and internet will help a lot since you'll not have the temptation but when you get back home your brain is thirsting for dopamine and it's very likely you'll fall back.
