As time progresses things decay but eventually the wheel of time restarts the the divine order is restored for a new golden age. The author divides people into three major classes those in time, above time, and against time. Adolf Hitler was a man against time, an avatar of Vishnu, in that not only did he long for the divine order of the golden age but he actively worked against (((the agents of decay))) in an attempt to bring about the impossible.
We can't reconstruct the golden age, only time can do that, but we can fight the agents of decay. Our minds long for that time which we can no longer experience but is our natural environment.
