once upon a time a young adult was someone in their late teens or early twenties, more and more often newspapers use this term to refer to people well in their 30s or even 40s these days. youth is that portion of life where you're allowed to act like an idiot because what you might become is more important than what you are, by extending the definition of young adult in this way we're allowing these men to never grow up and to act like idiots forever. it's not "capitalism" or economic factors that led millennials to become the extremely unsuccessful generation they are, its that, by never starting to consider them grownups, the media and people in general raised a generation of eternal manchildren who are stuck into the mindset that they're still young and that someone else should take care of their problems on their behalf for this reason.
