but what i rly liked were the shotguns, i tried them out and then it was just all i played with for like an hour. it feels soooo good to get meatshots, people tend to die instantly and shotguns actually work like shotguns meaning if there are two people really close to each other one blast is going to do a fuckton of damage to both. throughout that one hour of playtime i got like 3 occasions where i killed 2 people with one shot. that just feels really good when it happens and i wish more games tried to make their shotguns be able to do that, in a lot of them its rare that you get to damage more than one guy with ur shot even if theyre standing right next to each other. they need to be literally inside of each other in most games for it to work properly
it pretty much nails perfectly how a shotgun in a game should feel when youre shooting at people 5 or so meters in front of you, they fucking die and it feels satisfying. along with the cool animation and sound design and yada yada i rly enjoyed clicking on people.
besides that though they also got down the shooting at people far away part right. pellets dont disappear into the void after traveling more than 10 meters, if you place your crosshair well enough you can still get two shot kills on people fairly far away from u while using a shotty, and thats also how it supposed to be. its not so accurate that you can just run and lazily aim then get ur kill, you have to stand still and make sure ur aiming at the right spot, and that makes it balanced enough. in other cs games the shotguns just simply arent as satisfying, i remember i used them a lot in csgo when i was little and although they had their moments it still just sucked and felt weak, and in cs 1.6 i dont even remember lol i dont think anyone used shotguns in that game
they probably nerfed shotguns to make them more fun to play against, but in return theyre just not fun to use, so, eh.
