I also made it clear when I wasn't sure what was being said. Typically by asking a question. Then no one would acknowledge what I'm actually asking and just skirt around the question giving the same blanket answer that was unclear in the first place.
That isn't to say there isn't some fault on me there.
I got the answer I needed to the question.
Being an attention whore is bad, because people need ammunition to use against you. It's not that there's anything inherently wrong with seeking attention. It's that other people don't like when they aren't the center of attention.
"Lol I don't need to seek attention, I'm better than that. You're just an attention whore, you're below me!"
