You are exactly right - most importantly quit alcohol, remove all “friends” if they just drink/party, your new friends you will find at work who want success and to enrich you or the world, quit gaming and anime (entirely dont touch especially gaming).
Work your ass off and spare time read the most challenging literature. For me i read every single Julius Evola book in one year to start, than moved into all the classics and philosophy.
Focus on learning “Leadership” as a skill added to whatever industry you are in and practice public speaking. Basically challenge yourself to be successful no matter what, don’t let anybody fuck with you - buy guns and ammo, connect with nature and your true pre-christian roots. Don’t fear death or anything.
This is the way.
