>>19439692With the wine doled out to herself and Sola, Carmody gets deep into her own glass quickly. She wants to stay positive and catch up with Sola, but she also wants to vent. She shoots Bree an apologetic look for the wrestling talk that'll likely be over his head.
>"I guess there's not too much to say. Kanako's healing up, it looks like. I didn't get to ask about details, because she got pretty upset when I got there. She really hates me now. Not that I don't understand, I did go pretty hard in that promo I did on her, and Pris roughed her up after the match a little before I was able to get in there and cool things down, so I get it, I can't ask for anything different. But I asked Coach Ash and Paule to go check on her. Paule still isn't texting me back but hopefully she at least went to go see Kanako. I'm getting a bad feeling about her too, honestly."Carmody takes another drink.
>"Now, Ash, that's a little more complicated. She's got her own career to look after beyond being our coach, and her own history, and I respect all that. But she did just try to sneak attack a friend of ours. We didn't say much, at the hospital."Bree smiles and leans back in a chair. "This sounds like the type of stuff you used to talk about in high school."
Carmody smiles patiently at him, feeling another sharp throb in her likely-concussed brain.
>"Sorry, Bree, where are my manners? You want a drink too?"Bree holds up a hand. "Nah, make mine Dr. Better. With one ice cube, please."
Carmody looks at Sola and shakes her head as she retrieves a glass with an ice cube.
>"Sola, would you believe he made me haul up an entire case of Diet Dr. Better along with my things from back home? And I don't even drink the stuff."After handing her brother his drink, Carmody turns back to Sola and takes another large sip of wine.
>"The trouble is, Priscilla warned me about all of them. And I really didn't wanna believe her, but one by one they keep proving her right."
