Now you get 13 episodes where the first 3 episodes have the pacing of a 26 episode season. Then 10 episodes trying to cram in everything that happens in 2 light novels. It's just a hack job.
There is good shit in Web and Light novels. It's just a clunky conversion compared to manga to anime.
With Manga you get basically Key Frames and paced dialogue from the source, making the conversion seamless.
Also the 50+ episode stuff tends to be shonen which never really had much plot to begin with. Which is why shonen is still strong now.
Also Spirit Anime is trash, Mecha anime all the way.
