Same thing goes with money. If you look at how much a typical 18 year old is getting paid in America, you're actually doing well for yourself. The pay just falls off hard around 23-24yo and then you're rapidly outpaced by civilian peers of your same age group. Plus, the pay encourages retardation because of how consistent and predictable it is.

All in all, its not horrible. There is a reason I, and most people, don't stick around though. The military is and always has been a great way for poorfags out of highschool to elevate themselves. My advice if you fit that profile:
>Join Coast Guard or Air Force unironically>Don't fuck with military sloots>Get an insured credit card BEFORE you ship, use it to build halfway decent credit so your car note won't be dogshit>Workout a ton at the free gym>Have the mentality that you don't have disposable income unless you have at least $10K in the bank at any given time>GO TO SCHOOL WHILE YOU'RE IN NIGGER
