Nobody told me any of that, no. I thought University was going to be just College 2: Electric Boogaloo. That hallucinatory Freshers Week experience didn't do much to change that perception. I was expecting guidance like I had always received. I see now how stupidly misguided that was, but I was 17 back when I left home to go to your country to get a fabled degree. I at least left with a Diploma of Higher Education which could prove to be enough with some ignorant employers.
Nice passive aggression, btw. I especially enjoyed your selective use of CAPS LOCK. You remind me of some of the most egregious specimens I've met in your country. I do wonder how you all will fare in the next 10 years. To be fair, I'm not optimistic about any place faring well. I'm focused on at least uplifting and securing my own homeland but as you can tell from me being on this here message board, it's not going great.
