I got regular contact with f-15E pilots, most are honestly pretty chill dudes, only met a few who were complete assholes on comm, but I would be too if I'd been sitting in that, quite frankly, uncomfortable seat for an hour or so getting the physical shit kicked out of me by gravity.
The cocky ones are like that because they're taught to think they're the best, an uncertain pilot is a shitty one.
This doesn't mean I won't make them sit in the seat while we go through what's wrong with his radar or a pod, no way I'm doing more work because they were being retarded.
They've been through a lot of shit to be where they are, and I respect that, takes a certain type of person for sure.
