Not knowing your life situation, hard to give specific advise, but broadly is to keep as many irons is as many different fires as you can. You never know what might blow up. I started on the path of wanting to be a PhD surgeon, only to funnel through all sorts of turns to become a data scientist for a major investment bank and to then basically because Whitehat nomad (in the start of that one).
Don't worry so much about the destination as that you feel you are taking each path for the right reasons.
