I always research names from the time the media wants to portray, keep attention to the race and lore (fantasy genre has mostly and if not always some kind of scheme behind the names for example the Elder Scrolls Series

If you don't like realistic character name larping you can just made up some English localized anime names with food and the most stupid kind of surname you can think of like I dunno... eh... Cheesecake Lovinghard...?
