Since Judaism is a literary religion it persisted. It always was heavily literary. Even during the Second Temple period copies of the Torah where placed all over the temple in absence of idols to the Hebrew God. If there was no Torah there would be no Christianity and no Islam either. Nobody would even know that Judaism even existed. It left no artifacts that were not textual except for one weird sketch of a face monster.
