When I was in 6th grade they rolled out these dumbass things called smart boards. It was a touchscreen but not a display, so it needed a projector to have an image. I had a very defining moment there realizing something was wrong with the world. Who the fuck designs a smart touchscreen to use as a blackboard replacement that your shadow blocks the image of because you have to stand in front of it? Our school bought at least 8 of them. They always had trouble calibrating them, they were pitched as being interactive but had tons of input lag, just slowed the class down, they cost 6600 CAD in 05-06.
