Obviously for a lot of men who don't really vibe with emotional stuff that much to them the emptiness might be fine or even feel clean but again, for a lot of people it comes off as unnatural and people attached to the unnatural might be associated with psycho's. I don't think they are actually scared or don't understand empty apartments especially if you've just moved but stilll.
