Except, He's not. He's speaking to all jews that follow the teachings of the Pharisees and Sadducees, i.e. the Oral Tradition which would later become the Talmud. All jews. All jews who reject Him and cannot hear is Words. This is pretty clear in John 8:48-59. Where it says "The Jews." Not, the "Pharisees and the Sadducees," i.e. the jewish leadership, although He is speaking to them too. Can they accept Christ, repent and change their behavior on a path of Sanctification with the Lord Jesus Christ? Yes.
A few did and became the first Christians. But the ones that remain calling themselves jews and continuing their shitty behavior, as what we are dealing with today, follow the teachings of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
