even if the moon was flat that doesn't work either because when viewed from the side it would no longer look like a perfect circle. even if it was a hologram or plasma or a reflection or a projection, the same rules would apply it would look different depending on where you're observing it from but it doesn't.
so to be a flat earther you have to believe the moon is a spiritual illusion or a collective hallucination of some kind and not real because that's the only way flat earth works
