>>9570750For a first read, NIV. Trying to understand scripture with an antiquated language (KJV) or overly literal (YLT) is incomprehensible without comparing to a more understandable translation like NIV.
After you read and understand the Bible in the NIV, then I recommend exploring different translations such and KJV if you want to. Honestly though, you will find very few differences that are noteworthy.

The audiobook is less than $3 and is an INCREDIBLE dramatized audiobook. It's a little over 3 hours long and puts Jesus into great perspective.
