The only two reasons I can think for it existing are wrong:
- Trying to capitalize on women's fickleness to get her to say yes in public, raising your chances, there's all sorts of broscience about how to create an emotional "high" before the proposal in order to make it "effective";
- Just recreating a woman's fantasy of having the same experience as they saw on Tiktok of getting proposed to, to which I say nuts to that.
It's all bullshit, like how in Japan people marry in fake churches just because women want to have the same experience they saw on TV, they don't even know who Jesus is.
If anything, proposing a child should be the standard. Honey, shall we get the brownies a-browning in the oven?
