At night while I was pumping gas, I had a Mexican approach me and I had to quickly get in my car.
This is an existential threat to my very survival.
Then, come to find out, 16.667% or only one sixth of the US population has blue eyes AND even though I've lived here 34 years
they still treat me like some newcomer. I don't know if this is a recent development and we were killed off rapidly during the 2010s
OR whether blue eyes were never very common here. I graduated high school AND college without even noticing,
but I can't tell if that's how things were ALL THOSE YEARS because I never made a point of finding out the eye color of those around me.
I know that when I went in Kmart during August 2008 to buy school supplies for my senior year,
I was wearing a hoodie and a black female cashier called me a retard because of that. (hoodies are too hot for summer)
